15th August 2007: Playing Card Factory Altenburg is organising big football event on the 1st September On the 1st of September the already 5th football tournament, organised by the Playing Card Factory in cooperation with SV Aufbau Altenburg and the municipal bureau of Altenburg, is taking place. 12 regiona companies will fight to gain the desired trophy. The event will start at 9:30 o`clock in the morning in the "Wald-stadium" and offers excitement and fun for the whole family. With tombola and goal-wall fun and game next to the sporty event are guaranteed. 16th July 2007: Minister president of Thuringia Dieter Althaus is visting the Playing Card Factory Altenburg As a part of a special summer tour the Minister president of Thuringia, Dieter Althaus, also visted Altenburg on the 16th of July. The visit of the playing card factory Altenburg including a round in the manufacturing halls and a discussion had the aim to involve regional successful companies into the dialogue between economy and politics. As the oldest German playing card factory, which is additionally one of the most popular companies of the region, the enterprise is celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2007.

27th June 2007: Harry Potter is doing magic on playing cards from ACE Altenburger The summer 2007 will be hot - especially for all fans of Harry Potter. The long-expected 5th part of the series "The order of the Phoenix" has started in the German cinemas. Moreover brand-new card games concerning the film by ACE Altenburger promise long-lasting game fun - far longer than in the cinema.
31st May 2007: Poker Summer Tour by ACE Altenburger and Karstadt is starting The summer 2007 will be hot - on the 1st of June the big Poker- and Black Jack-Tour across 15 different German cities is starting. The first stop will be on the 1st and 2nd of June in Saarbrücken. On every following weekend the tour will stop in a different city. Activities to play, in which the customers can try their Poker- and Black Jack-abilities at a special Black Jack-table, are planned. The valuable poker products by ACE Altenburger, from cards and sets up to card shoes and poker table, can be seen and tested at the face.
21st May 2007: Disney-Blockbuster on playing cards When from the 24th of May onwards Jack Sparrow and his crew are back on sea, ACE Altenburger is presenting two completely new card-products. At World`s End funny film- and playing hours are guaranteed. With the new film deck, with which one can play Mau Mau and Poker, as well as a funny cartoon-set pirate-fans will get their money`s worth. The playing cards are available from end of may.
The life of a rat is rather hard - at least for a gourmet like Remy. In the new Disney-Pixar Film Ratatouille, which will start in the German cinemas at the 3rd of October, a special animation adventure is awaiting all fans. 17th April 2007: Playing Card Factory Altenburg is supporting Skat fountain feast on the 5th and 6th of May The year 2007 in Altenburg is celebrated under the motto of the 175st anniversary of the playing card factory. While the annual Skat fountain feast on the historical Brühl both days will highlighten the most famous German card game, which is produced in Altenburg for several hundred years. Several Skat tournaments around the cup "175 years playing card factory", discussions, card launchings and many other activities are in the centre of the event. Highlight is the opening of the "Skat adventurous path" which is sponsored by ACE Altenburger and which will highlight the perception of the Skat cards for which Altenburg is famous in whole Germany. Tradition and innovation from one source - next to Skat also Poker is set on the agenda. Especially the Sunday, the 6th of May, is put under the motto of the poker boom - with tournaments and a poker school. Altenburg is bidding! 15th March 2007: ACE Altenburger is extending Disney- and Barbie-product range Spring 2007 will be a highlight for alle playing- and licence-theme-fans. Already at the International Toy Fair Nuremberg at the beginning of February the playing card factory presented four brand-new themes, among them the Disney-topics Kim Possible and Bambi & Co.. But this is not enough: from the end of March onwards ACE Altenburger will present another eight licence-topics from Disney, Barbie and Warner Bros.
31st January 2007: ACE Altenburger is presenting brand-new license card games on the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg When the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, the world`s biggest fair for games, is opening their gates from 1st until 6th February 2007, ACE Altenburger is presenting a pack of brand-new innovations.
